OUR STORY
We are two brothers, Luke & Oliver Marriott, and together we created Marriott Fisheries to share our passion for commercial fishing and to provide the nation with the very best seafood that it has to offer.
Growing up in a commercial fishing family it was normal for us to spend the weekends and summer holidays at sea learning the family trade. After leaving high school we naturally found ourselves taking the family boats from the small town of Southwold on the East Coast of England where we had spent our youth learning the fishing grounds. Over time we both ventured off to learn different fisheries all around the country, primarily on the east and south coast all the way from Kings Lynn to Brixham!
Along the way we met countless fisherman all around the country who share the same passion as ours, taking great pride in the quality of our catch using sustainable fishing methods. Working closely with these friends has allowed us to bring you the best possible quality fish our country has to offer.
Our idea for Marriott Fisheries was born on a windy night on a piece of scrap paper when we couldn’t get out fishing due to the weather. We wanted to find a way to sell our fish directly to the public allowing us to cut out the markets and fish merchants which usually add 2-3 days on the fish reaching the end customer. There was just one big problem; we didn’t have anywhere to process the fish and orders.
In 2022 Luke found an opportunity to purchase an existing fresh fish shop on Aldeburgh beach, he got straight to work refurbishing the property and making it his own opening for the summer holidays. Shortly after this the website was born!

Our flagship store located directly on the beach down Aldeburgh seafront! Offering a large selection of locally caught and best of British sourced seafood, you will find everything you need here.
Pop on down for lunch and tuck in to some of our delicious hot food, enjoy a chargrilled Lobster, pan fried Sea Bass, Crevettes, beer battered Oysters; or you could indulge in our cold food, try one of our many seafood platters, seafood rolls, or maybe a pot of shellfish!
The fresh fish counter has a wide selection of local catches such as Dover Sole, Seabass, Skate, Cod, and much more. We also offer a lot of shellfish and smoked fish, Lobsters, Cromer Crabs, Brancaster Mussels, Colchester Oysters, and so much more!
OUR BOAT
Our flagship fishing vessel Suzie P is exclusively operated by ourselves and friends, working primarily from Southwold on the East Coast, Brixham on the South Coast, and everywhere in-between!
Targeting prime species such as Dover Sole, John Dory, Sea Bass, Turbot, Plaice, Brill, Lobsters, Cuttle Fish, Whelks, Monkfish, Gurnard and Crabs. Suzie P is how we bring you the freshest catch possible!
With our fleet vans being available for a 24hr collection service this allows us to transport fish back to our home in Adleburgh. This allows for a swift packaging process and exterior courier delivering straight to your door!
Along the way we have met a lot of friends also operating their own small vessels and working in line with our principles, partnering with these friends creating a small co-operative has allowed us to bring you a selection of the nation’s finest seafood directly to your door.
WHERE OUR FISH COMES FROM
Here in the UK, we are blessed with having a wonderful selection of different fish species living in our waters, the only problem is that the selection can be fairly limited on a town-to-town basis. Having fished up and down the country ourselves we know where to go to get each species of fish during its prime season. Using our network of commercial fishermen that work to our shared principles we are able to bring the best catch the country has to offer, to your door, fresher than you can find down your nearest supermarket.
